Our take
The iPhone 16 is still a solid iPhone with the A18 chip, 8GB RAM, a 48MP main camera and IP68 protection. To be honest, though, it has a 60Hz screen, and the iPhone 17 brings 120Hz, 256GB base storage and a better selfie camera. If you're buying new, the extra money for the 17 is worth considering.
Pros
- A18 chip with Apple Intelligence support
- 48MP main camera
- IP68 protection
Cons
- 60Hz screen
- 128GB base storage
- iPhone 17 is a clear upgrade
Buy it if: you find a good deal or a clean UK-used unit.
Skip it if: you can stretch to the iPhone 17.
